1. Bully America comes of age. America is a bully nation. We have been bullying for a long, long time.

Americans are raised to accept bullying. There is some backlash but bullying is accepted in most of America. Some rationalize that bullying for goodness is ok. Bullshit. All bullies believe they are doing such for goodness.
We see examples of bullying here in DU. But why would we expect otherwise? DU is only a microcosm of America. But we are supposed to be "politically liberals" and most are. But the bullies seem to prevail. Ridicule is one of their tools. And if you call them on it, they say, "they deserved to be ridiculed." That's exactly what the bully says, "They deserved to be bullied."
Stand your ground laws are the ultimate gift to bullies. They can literally bully someone to death. "Make my day....boom your dead."

This is a bit rambling but I believe bullying is a huge problem in America and the SYG laws personify that.
