A female corrections officer at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center in western Nebraska died from strangulation, according to autopsy results released Monday.
Amanda Baker, 24, of Scottsbluff died from asphyxiation by strangulation, said Scotts Bluffs County Attorney Doug Warner. He plans to charge inmate Dylan Cardeilhac, 15, of Torrington, Wyo., with first-degree murder today.

Warner said Baker was checking on adult prisoners about 2 a.m. Friday when she entered Cardeilhac's cell. The teenager, who had been charged with robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony, allegedly grabbed Baker from behind and strangled her with his arm.
