Texas Dems Slam Abbot for Campaigning with Pedophile

Democrats and women’s groups assailed GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott’s choice of Ted Nugent to appear with him at Tuesday events, citing the rocker’s abusive name-calling and early penchant for relationships with under-aged girls.Abbott’s campaign said the attorney general might not agree with some of Nugent’s language, but praised the so-called Motor City Madman as an avid defender of the U.S. Constitution. The campaign did not comment regarding Nugent’s inappropriate affairs from 30 years ago.As attorney general, Abbott has touted his office’s Internet Crimes Against Children division that works with law enforcement to identify predators who go on-line seeking young women. Calling it his cyber-crimes unit, Abbott frequently mentions its efforts to arrest those who would solicit minors.

But then he became a big supporter of tort "reform" which makes it harder for anyone else to do the same. Typical pull the ladder up behind you GOP behavior. So chickenhawk campaigns for chickenshit.

Abbott understand:

de·fend verb \di-ˈfend\
: to fight in order to keep (someone or something) safe : to not allow a person or thing to hurt, damage, or destroy (someone or something)

Hey Abbott do you spell defend with on "F" or 4?

Friggin' p.o.s.

was found 1F, once the war was over he eligibility was changed to 4F, so it appears the story he told High Times and the other magazine was correct.

My father and grandfather were in Vietnam. They were regular Army and Air Force so they made their own choice about being there. (Grandfather had already been in WWII and Korea), Dad was an AF pilot so he didn't have to face what most others did. Bless you. I know it's not easy.

his occupation didn't have a fascination with guns. What he did was 28 yrs in the Army. WWII, Korea, and 3 tours in Viet Nam. 3 jumps into combat, and I don't know what else. His third tour in Nam he was in a jeep that hit a land mine. He retired as a Command Sargent Major shortly after that. He wasn't 100% after the land mine. But I don't think I ever saw him wear a flag banana and he wasn't on the board of the NRA so no, by current Republican standards he didn't defend anything.

That rank commands respect throughout the services, all branches. That is the very top enlisted rank, attained only by those who have been there and done that and been very smart and a very good leader.

It is a small fraternity of the very best.
