UPDATE: Talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel has taken credit for the prank that was the talk of the Olympics on Thursday.

Kimmel had American luger Kate Hansen post a video of a wolf that was purportedly roaming outside her door in Sochi.

In reality, Kimmel’s staff rented a wolf, built a set in Los Angeles, filmed the creature walking around and had the video posted from Hansen’s social media accounts.

According to the Associated Press, Olympic organizers laughed off the prank and won’t be seeking any disciplinary action.
