The Koch brothers will soon be our owners

So far, the Koch brothers have poured half a billion dollars (that we know of) into the upcoming mid-term elections.

Many will disagree with me, but I believe that, given the unlimited funds available to the GOP and their voter suppression tactics, they are going to end up controlling both the Senate and House. Which will make us all the property of the Koch brothers.

We may be able to stop them with a gigantic turnout in all states, but I hold little hope of that happening. I don't believe I'm being a pessimist. I'm just looking at the reality of the situation.

This is the way our freedoms end; not with a bang but with a dollar sign.

journalism. We have been here before only difference is people then seemed to protest more and called for change.

Now it's our time and we don't seem to collectively care. I doubt 9 out 10 people know or care who the Koch brothers are.

from Obama, the Koch teabaggers will be able to do whatever they want to do.

The result will be an end to abortion, a reinstatement of DOMA, lower taxes (or no) taxes on the wealthy, the end of Obamacare, and perhaps even the end of social security and medicare, an end to immigration from south of the border and Africa, zero limits on gun ownership, -- hell, they could even reinstate slavery, expand which people get to be the slaves, make the confederate battle flag our national banner, and declare us a "Christian nation."

Sounds insanely extreme, doesn't it? But look at who we're dealing with. And tell me how we could stop them.

that 'burden' business with taxes and community responsibilities.

They are sympathetic to anything which makes them exceptional to such social participation.

As much as I appreciate Priorities USA's support of a potential Hillary run, why have they released a statement saying that they will sit out the midterms? The presidency won't mean much if the GOP gets control of the Senate (the House is lost for now).

don't get involved.

People like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and others could easily match the Koch's money. And they could also create their own media empires ala Rupert Murdoch.

I don't think people like Gates and Buffet would be happy living in a teabagger paradise.
