I would like to offer myself as a mediator to help end the gender wars.

It reminds me of a while back when East Coast and West Coast rappers were having a beef and rappers were actually getting killed. Thankfully, there are no casualties, at least casualties I am aware of, in our gender wars. Howard Stern offered to mediate them.

In that spirit I humbly offer my services if I am agreeable to both sides.

I honestly do not believe some of the main participants in the gender wars really want them to end.

Truly the Father of his country. Like Abraham Lincoln preserving the Union the jury will not be decided for a very long time.

Gender wars are built in procreation and selection of living organisms.

When it does, the owners of DU will act to clean it up or clean it out. The dynamic here is for a comparative few to impose their individual group's doctrines onto the wider DU audience, and if those doctrines include shaming, smearing, and stigmatizing those who do not comport with those doctrines, then the atmosphere in GD WILL remain as-is.

Democrats are easily bullied. That reality has been raised to mythological status by the persistent and effective work of the GOPer FR. There are some in DU who see how well this can work in a sea of Democrats, and act accordingly.

Upshot: A few "activists" can create the atmosphere.
