Anyone else really looking forward to the USA vs Canada men's Oly semi-final hockey game? I sure am.
This should've been the gold medal game, I think, except for the luck of the draw that has them meeting earlier.

With all due respect to the silky Swedes and the patient Finns, Friday’s men’s hockey semifinal between arch-rivals Canada and the United States (9 p.m. Sochi time, noon Eastern time, 9 a.m. Pacific time) should be the most exciting game of these Winter Games (or at the very least give the U.S. shootout victory over host Russia a run for its money).
If Canada’s ever to get off the schneid and score some goals, it will have to happen against the Americans, who play a similar high-paced, physical, forecheck-oriented game. These teams delivered a classic in the Vancouver Winter Games gold medal final, so expect the U.S. — who have been dynamic against superior opponents — to be looking for revenge for that crushing 2010 final overtime loss.
Will Team Canada rise to the occasion after some middling performances thus far? Or will “U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!” chants be ringing from the rafters by game’s end?
