Every person in North Dakota is now pretty wealthy…yes that is exaggerated but when a fast food worker makes 20 bucks an hour, you know great things are happening. It would be great if every state could have this success.

They're doing great there economically. Low unemployment, increased home prices, massive new tax revenue and more.

Some people like that Wild West kind of excitement. It won't last when they get overrun by drugs, prostitution and other crime that follows oil booms.

We had a lovely summer with many warm, sunny days. The improving weather probably does have something to do with it.

I've lived here since 1975, and I've ALWAYS been happy with Alaska. I love this place.

And 67% of North Dakotans identify with a religion, 59% for South Dakota, 57% for Massachusetts, and 56% for Minnesota, which are all above the national average. Meanwhile, only 52% of the population of Kentucky identify with a religion, and only 39% of West Virginians identify themselves as "religious".
