Lots of people don't understand the law.

Dunn didn't claim self defense for the shots he fired when the car was driving away. He was convicted of 3 counts of attempted murder for shooting at the car as it was pulling away.

The self defense claim only applied to the killing of Jordan Davis. Dunn was lying through his teeth, but 3 jurors believed him. That's why the jury was hung on that specific count.

These assholes believe that being Black is a lowest form of an animal and therefore killing one is a ok. The mentality of superiority in their sick minds justifies it. Look at what shitty pants said and another with a "trophy" of a black man's skin. is just one of many around the nation that have legalized vigilantism and summary justice at the behest of ALEC and the NRA. They use fear to sell more guns, and then promote an arms race by allowing gun bullies to go "thug" hunting. Of course, the shooter's claim will always be "self-defense" because the victim is not around to tell their side of the story.
