1. This is similar to something I've been thinking about

The Bush Doctrine is not that dissimilar from the defenses offered up by Zimmerman and Dunn: the justification for homicide rests in the State of Mind of the one pointing the gun.
We attacked and killed tens of thousands in Iraq, needlessly, and justified it on our 'fear' - even if the grounds for that fear were - uh - mistaken. The Iraqis paid (and are paying) for our mistake but, after all, they aren't Americans and America is exceptional.
I wonder if our pre-emptive policies influence people on a jury.

The video is a bit on the tin foil hat side but it is also correct. What we do to 'them' we will eventually do to each other.
