Sen. Ron Calderon and his brother, former Assemblyman Tom Calderon, have been indicted by federal authorities on multiple criminal charges, including money laundering.

Ron Calderon faces 24 charges including bribery, money laundering and tax fraud, which carry a maximum sentence of 400 years in prison, U.S Attorney André Birotte Jr. said during a press conference today in Los Angeles. Calderon agreed to surrender to authorities on Monday, Birotte said.

The Calderon brothers represent the L.A. area in the state legislature. Looks like L.A. is in the running with Chicago and New Jersey for the most corrupt politicians.

At least it is now getting covered outside some of my local media. So all it's good. Now it is news.

That's all we need is another seat up for election. Republicans will probably have a tough time selling themselves in this L.A. district, but it seems when corruption follows a party, the other party stands a good chance to take it.

I like one of the posts below the article "Democrats at it again.." that's a good one, clown.
