(25,699 posts)The charter establishing Virginia, signed by the king, granted the Virginia Company absolute control of the entire stretch of land from sea to sea. Of course at the time the exact breadth of the continent wasn't exactly known...

Hell; as a kid, growing up as a proud Virginian I dreamt of the day when I'd be able to lead an armored division of like-minded Virginians across the border to assert our dominance once and for all...
