many of these polls are just ways of confirming how dominant an opinion is on DU. there's nothing wrong with asking something that shows us to be in 99% agreement on a given topic, issue or bit of news.

Like comparing George W. Bush to a monkey - juvenile, yes, but it doesn't invoke centuries-old racist imagery in the same way that comparing Obama to a monkey would.

I find it hard to believe that Nugent wasn't aware of how his comment would be perceived. You believe something you might say would be perceived as racist and then you still say it I find it hard to believe it wasn't intended that way.

a subhuman mongrel is still 8 or 9 levels higher on the evolutionary scale than Ted.

It's a level Ted could never aspire to achieve.

As a result, Ted thinks subhuman mongrel is as high as the scale goes.

rather than deal with the actual quote and it's meaning, you've decided to make Nugent's quote about Obama about you --namely that you are the victim of people saying that your posts and positions about women are akin to treating them in a subhuman way.

so Obama gets called a subhuman mongrel and instead of being able to deal with that issue on its own, you instead make it about you and because you feel the term subhuman, which wasn't referring to you, but how you viewed women, can't be racist (hence your lack of vote) because the "subhuman" term has to be about your apparent thinking that feminists here are mistreating you.

are you changing the subject because you like to talk about other things (smoking, men as victims of women, etc.)

or because you don't think it's a racist statement and are attempting to change the subject without admitting you feel that way.

Anything ted nugent says is based off racism when it comes to Obama. There is really no debate to be had. Not even sure why it was raised as a question to be asked unless the person asking it maybe doubted it was.
