I'll show up to give tips on how to not get shot during police contact.

Only one rule though.

If you see the cop coming to talk to you, just lie face down in felony position and put your arms behind your back waiting for the cuffs.
I mean unless your in Oakland. In Oakland they shoot you after you're cuffed, so no advice for you Oakland. You're on your own.

If they THINK they see a gun, bang bang, your dead. Pulling out your wallet might get you killed.

I remember when I lived near La Brea and Jefferson on Orange drive in LA, and I was walking to the Popeyes by the Snooty Fox, the cops had just shot an old homeless lady for brandishing a screwdriver. She never got close to them , but they damn sure emptied clips in her direction. Killed a mentally ill lady right there in front of the Moter Inn.

made (in)famous by the movie "Fruitvale Station", the douchebadge in question belonged to the BART police force, not the OPD. Not that the OPD is warm and fuzzy by any means; during Occupy Oakland, an Oakland cop threw a tear-gas canister under my friend's power wheelchair!

The thought that you could be shot by a cop while handcuffed is terrifying.

I was thinking It was OPD because of how they acted during occupy. Bullies.

Start with "don't be black". Seriously, I will have to look up that Chris Rock video on how to not get your ass beat by the police. Work blocks youtube.

He was beaten to death (while likely somewhat buzzed walking down near the el Cid bar in WPB on Hwy 1 in the early or late morning) by two detectives in the early 90's.

They said when they stopped and approached him that he had a knife! That he was trying to kill them! So they beat him to death. Not shooting him or simply subduing him just beating.

The two douchebags were indicted but acquitted. The brother douchebags in the court room cheered and high-fived each other like baboons when the judge gave them the free pass on murder.

http://www.apnewsarchive.com/1991/Two-Florida-Police-Officers-Acquitted-in-Custody-Death/id-73fd05dd048a08615ff789038e77eb56

Then one had the gall to sue to be re-instated.

What happened? One big baboon had him in a choke hold and the other big douchebag repeatedly swung a big flashlight into his balls until he was dead. It was a brutal beating intended to kill not subdue. Imagine taking a baseball bat and swinging as hard as you can into someones nuts for like 5 minutes in a row. What do you think the result would be? Simple bruising?

A Palm Beach Post van driver witnessed the two big thugs assaulting the 5'8" lightly built guy but that didn't really matter.

Robert Jewett was a "white trash" barely employed construction worker. An easy target.

On edit: Both "detectives" were white and of what I would call "normal police guy build". round 6" and not too skinny. Look up the photos of the "defendants" then the "threatening" victim.

This guy was literally walking down the street without a reason to fear death and was abruptly aggressively verbally confronted thrown thrown down lifted up choked and then bludgened in the groin until shaken fallen broken then silent.

I have posted this story in the past to similar silence. Maybe it us just too scary...
