Same-sex marriage licenses now valid in unclaimed property cases - IN MISSOURI

A small yet consequential step. One step closer to recognizing the fact that federal law trumps state bigotry. It's no surprise that this would happen in Columbia, but there is A LOT of rural territory in Boone County.


COLUMBIA — Boone County Treasurer Nicole Galloway announced Monday that the county will allow legally wed same-sex couples to use their marriage licenses as proof in unclaimed property cases.
