This, and in particular, the corresponding comment thread, are a perfect example of mob-whipped paranoia in action.
If the NSA is actually spending time wrapped up in Daily Kos meta, then GOOD! That means they aren't doing anything actually dangerous.
Of course, I WOULD say that, given that I'm a secret NSA agent sent to disrupt the very purpose of this site. It's all a deviously complicated plan that even I have trouble parsing. But I'll figure it out eventually. The fate of the surveillance state rides on the government's ability to disrupt the Daily Kos comment threads! I mean, I took my eye off the ball, and next thing you know, Obama dropped chained CPI from his budget! I didn't appreciate the official reprimand I got after that one.
Seriously, so fucking stupid. And to be clear, if you go around accusing commenters of being "plants" and "infiltrators" and "saboteurs" without real evidence all because they disagree with you, that will be considered a conspiracy theory and subject to sanction. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
