A person who can make it through that job without pouring a scalding pot of coffee down someone's shirt is indeed a heroic inspiration to us all, though perhaps not one all of us could emulate.

There are those who hand it to you. Then, there are aholes who basically throw it at you.

Used to work with this really old man in a small grocery store, a WWII verteran making minimum wage in the 1960s. One day this jerk came in and bought something for about 50 cents, and threw a $20 bill on the counter so that it spun around. Old man Todd took out the change in nickels and dimes and threw it down on the counter as hard as he could. It bounced all over the store. That jerk still came back -- because we special ordered products for customers -- but he never did that again. Old Man Todd was one of my mentors.
