'Shameless' Belgian PM appears topless on television
Elio Di Rupo, Belgium's Prime Minister, has joined Vladimir Putin, the Russian President in appearing topless in pictures that show off his physique.
There the similarities end.
Mr Di Rupo is the first openly gay man to become a national leader in the European Union whereas Mr Putin has attracted international and EU opprobrium for enacting Russian laws that discriminate against homosexuals.
The Belgian leader, 62, was caught by a behind-the-scenes television camera crew taking off his shirt to change it during a hot national day in Belgium last July that also saw inauguration of the country's new King Philippe.
