Why do politicians leave office as millionaires, I would like to think that most had the right intention when they went into office, but they end up getting corrupted and forget why they were sent there. We need to take the money out of politics if this country has any chance to survive.

Yes, we all need to vote this midterm. We need to vote for proven populist/progressives and/or take to the streets.
Many nations have done this in the last few years. At least we can put some fear into these bastards.
The gop obstructionists are real, sadly they have not had enough helpful legislation to obstruct.
UNITE, we have the numbers. We need to get mandates that all citizens can vote on. Require Congress to be present (most do not work) the same amount of days that are required to as full time employees. No paid vacations unless all Americans get the same.

When we elect Republicans and the unemployment rate goes up, the conservatives proclaim that "those people" are just lazy moochers. But for some reason, when we finally get them out of office and the Democrats come in, they get jobs and go back to work.

Either Democrats inspire a better work ethic, or more likely, the real problem was a lack of jobs all along.
