Inside the Barricades, Kiev - Part 3/4 (Picture heavy)
Think the protests are over? Think again. A truckload of logs to be used as firewood, or to set things on fire should the new authorities disappoint the street. Protestors have said they intend to stay until after the May elections.
A police water cannon, likely captured after the police abandoned their stations.
This was to be the Christmas tree, or more accurately in these parts, the New Year's Tree. Construction was never completed.
Photo memorial to Stepan Bandera. He's probably the most divisive Ukrainian figure of the 20th century. This picture is right next to the stage, yet, it never appears on televised coverage from Maidan.
More tires. But you knew that...

More memorials.
A memorial near the contingent from Georgia. No, not that Georgia.
Tents and red and black flags. The colors red and black are common is fascist symbolism, representing blood and dirt, or in this case red Ukrainian blood on black Ukrainian soil.
Another memorial to the dead, along with religious symbols. One thing that few have talked about so far is the role of religion in the current events in Ukraine; events going back to the time of the Crusades.
Another view of the protest site.
