(6,785 posts)but demanding we ignore what he says, too. Full-throated support for free trade doesn't mean we can assume he likes free trade. It could be....a trick! That's it! Ten dimensional chess! He's pushing free trade because he knows the Republicans will oppose it!
He proposes cuts to Social Security because he knows the Republicans won't take them! Never mind that that argument actually makes him look WORSE than if he just thought cutting Social Security was a good idea. Being willing to gamble with the food on other people's tables is not a good thing.
