FL man flying KKK flag assures community: ‘We don’t beat up on f*ggots or blacks’

A man in Boca Raton, Florida is flying a Ku Klux Klan (KKK) flag to recruit passersby to join the racist institution.

Local 10 reporter Roger Lohse spoke to the man, who identified himself only as “Mr. Hayes,” yesterday and asked him why he’s flying a KKK flag above a “Members Wanted” sign.

“As many people know, the white families are producing less children because the father and mother work and you have interracial marriages and gay marriages, so there are less and less white children being born every day,” he said. “So we’re against that.”

He noted that flying this flag is “what this country is all about — freedom of speech.”

“Nobody stops the Puerto Ricans from flying their Puerto Rican flag or the Jews from having their yarmulke or whatever it is in the holidays,” he continued.

Hayes claimed that the response to his flag has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Don’t get anybody throwing bottles on my lawn or anything like that,” he said. “They toot their horn. They stop. They wave. They take pictures.”

He also said that people have the wrong idea about how his beliefs might motivate his actions. The noose hanging in his front yard is indicative of nothing, because according to Hayes, the KKK does not condone violence.

“We don’t go around committing hate crimes,” he said. “We don’t beat up on faggots or black people or burn crosses or any of that nonsense.”

One of Hayes’ neighbors is, however, uncomfortable with his display. Margaret Martin, a black woman who lives across the street, told Local 10 that “it’s scary.”

“I’m not trying to stereotype that, but we all know what KKK means,” she continued.

“But I’m going to pray for him. That’s all I can do, is pray for him.”

But then again the first time I really heard white supremacist talk it was all about how "We should be allowed to be proud of the White Race." The problem is that if you think the Klan, an organization created to terrorize blacks and Northerners during reconstruction, is the finest aspiration of White America - well, that's just sad.

Racists cowards, I'm sure the noose is just a yard decoration with no inferred meaning.

I wonder how he'd feel if I knocked all of his teeth out and then said: "Hey, sorry. Normally I wouldn't do that, 'cause I'm a turn-the-other-cheek kind of guy' - ?

I'm sorry you don't like black folks, but the feeling is not mutual.

I'm your neighbor and I'm black. If I see anyone suspicious around your house while you or your family is away, I'll call the police for you the same as I would for anyone on the block. If you were hurt, I would render what aid I could. If your family was out of work and hungry, I'd share what food I could.

That's what we do as Americans, we take care of each other even if we look different and disagree sometimes. I hope you feel the same way someday.
