The really big picture: A Re-balancing

Watching the white male patriarchy lash out in its death throes and the chaos we're seeing as people around the globe stand up for their independence, I can't help but think that we're living through an epochal era of change when the yin is finally emerging to re-balance the yang.

This is not one of those things that concludes over a news cycle, an election or perhaps even a generation. But the tectonic plates are shifting and the struggle is underway. We don't know the outcome, but I suggest that its important to see what's happening and seize the moment.

"What Happens Tomorrow"

I believe if I look hard enough
I will see
That there can be enough
I believe I can think clear enough
To conceive
A place where there's enough

If not now, when
If not today then
What about tomorrow
What happens tomorrow

I believe a woman can work hard and succeed
And we could be content
To believe that she could be in charge
Of the free
And be the president

If not now, when
If not today then
What happens tomorrow
What happens tomorrow
If you become the change
You want to see you change
What happens tomorrow
What happens tomorrow

I believe that we are waking up from the spell
That those that profit from the fear
Cast so well
And good people of the earth now can tell
There is no us and them

If not now, when
If not today then
What happens tomorrow
What happens tomorrow

All is love
All is choice
Everyone and every voice
All of life that you see
All are possibilities
As above so below
To wed the sense into the soul
This is truth I believe
I believe I believe

Truth is of the people
By the people
For the people

Yin and Yang

Here is a summary of the characteristics of yinyang. Yin and yang are opposite in nature, but they are part of nature, they rely on each other, and they can't exist without each other. The balance of yin and yang is important. If yin is stronger, yang will be weaker, and vice versa. Yin and yang can interchange under certain conditions so they are usually not yin and yang alone. In other words, yin can contain certain part of yang and yang can have some component of yin. It is believed that yinyang exists in everything.

While the folks getting the most media attention predicted an end of the world ... actual Mayans (or descendants of the Mayans) were saying: Nonsense ... the end of the calendar represents a period of transformation.
