And I lecture my grandkids about talking on their cell phones while driving. I guess they aren't such bad kids after all. This multitasker was featured in my local NE Ohio paper today:
VIENNA - A 25-year-old township man police said was cooking heroin while driving is facing felony drug possession charges.
Police said Aaron J. Repko, 5854 Youngstown Kingsville Road, was also charged Wednesday with possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanour.
Police said they were on routine patrol when they were called to the area of Route 11 because of a possible drunken driver just after 11 a.m., according to a Vienna Township Police report.
Police said the vehicle Repko was in was on the state Route 11 North exit to King Graves Road. When police approached the vehicle, there was a metal spoon on the passenger seat that had a burnt substance on it.
Police told Repko to get out of the car. They said he had slurred speech and kept falling asleep as they were patting him down. When police asked him why he was falling asleep, he replied that he was fine.
Police said they asked him what drug he was on and he told them that he had shot some heroin a little bit ago. He also told police there was heroin on the metal spoon inside the car, reports state.

(18,622 posts)It's funny because I know Rt11. It's a poker straight four lane limited access thoroughfare, and I was wondering why he didn't just pull over to the shoulder and get off before continuing on his way. Is anyone really that busy today? We're pretty sure he wasn't late for a big job interview.
I often joke that my dad taught me to drive with a can of Pepsi between my legs in the days before cup holders. The key is keeping the tab opening facing forward so you don't slosh your "beverage" on your pants upon acceleration. An open vent window was handy to keep your hot cigarette ash from blowing into the back seat of the old man's Impala. Now driver training is all about shoulder harnesses and child seats. ABS brakes have all but eliminated the need to learn about "turning into a skid". How times have changed in half a century. LOL

You can do that with one hand-
Now holding the spoon while trying to use the plunger on the needle might be a little bit of a trick.
I guess he could steer with his knee like I do at times
