So a friend of mine recently told me I had no idea how hard it was being a girl, because when she wears leggings, everybody stares at her butt, so today, Im going to find out exactly how hard it is, says Erakat in the video above.
The men gaze freely at the legging-clad bum until they realize the booty belongs to a man. Then they instantly change their tune.

(72,790 posts)Saw this girl at Game Stop the other day.
I am guessing late teens, earlier 20s. Thin, relatively nice body, but her butt was so lopsided and flabby. Was not a good look for her.

Or maybe it is ok if it is a man she is attracted to.

(1,643 posts)If you don't want men glancing at your rear, then don't wear clothing that shows it off.
And the knee-jerks who will say I am a rape apologist... grow the fuck up. A passing glance at a girl in tight pants is not even in the same goddamn ballpark.

(11,417 posts)Some teen girls walking toward me had leggings on with nothing covering them. I did not stare at them because they were kids and I could be their grandfather. I am sure I would creep them out if I did. But they were walking to school so I think they wouldn't mind a handsome teen guy looking at them.

(153,150 posts)the guys are just looking- I don't see how that is offensive - perhaps if they KEEP staring after the gal notices (this is when it becomes a leer, guys!), or if they say something inappropriate- THAT is where it gets to the "putting up with" stage
If I was with my wife she would not like it either

(24,470 posts)unless you are very young and not TOO overweight, you need to cover your butt if the only thing you wear on the bottom is leggings.

Staring is rude. Your mom told you so when you were a kid. Staring at strangers is worse.
You're welcome.
upaloopa
(11,417 posts)that are not the case. Your post is rude in my opinion.

(17,671 posts)"Yoga pants" is about as close to not wearing pants as you can get.
Why don't you define staring for us so we will know. And apply that definition to the spectrum of people that stretches from those who don't want to be noticed and those who do.
Keep it nice and simple.

(49,212 posts)No, I'm not going to teach you remedial manners. You went to preschool and you weren't raised by wolves. You know perfectly well what staring is.

(17,671 posts)Try this. Differentiate between a glance and a stare. Or do you know the difference?

I wonder if women ever check out men. I bet they do.

(10,942 posts)I first noticed that she was looking as I glanced upward, she was at a level above me coming down an escalator. I was deep in thought about a business issue, but noticed that she kept looking as we passed at the same level, then I noticed and looked back to see that she had turned to check me out from the back. I thought nothing of her action and continued on my way. I would have forgotten the incident had it not been for this OP. Men look at women that they find attractive, women look at men that they find attractive, same sex people look at other same sex people that they find attractive, making more out of an appreciative glance than it is worth, that tendency shows emotional immaturity on the part of those making assumptions about what is going on in the head of one person that looks at a second person without leering.

(1,110 posts)I would have found that hilarious if that happened to me. That being said, isn't it kind of natural for both men and women to look? I always thought it was the creepy constant staring and comments that were the problem.
*Also, I really don't think this guy was trying to really make any social statements here, but rather just thought it would be amusing to screw with people.
