(8,361 posts)Garbage. One phrase in a letter just sent wherein Senator Udall says, "As you know".
When did Obama know? Since earlier that same day due to a phone call from Udall?
This is first and foremost about CIA. Not Obama.

(62,265 posts)And while I voted for Udall and find it unfortunate he is Third Way, I find his policy positions to be desirable and I trust him on this issue.
I stand with Maddow at this sort of shit is "Republic breaking stuff."
The Senate intelligence committee, by virtue of the fucking Constitution, has absolute impunity with regards to what it gets. The CIA meddling in that is completely an affront to the oldest and longest lasting Democratic Republic on the planet.
Article I, Section 6, Clause 1:
Third Way Udall is indicating that he contacted the administration about his privileges on the committee and its desire to declassify the "6,300-page inquiry."
Of course, Udall, being Third Way (unfortunately) won't use his Senatorial privileges and simply ... declassify the document himself, in a simple "statement" recorded by the Senate. Some say it would be because he'd be taken off the committee. Who knows. It may bolster his position on it. Politics is weird like that.
