2 dead in New York City explosion, building collapse
Two buildings collapsed in Manhattan this morning following an explosion, killing at least two people and injuring more than a dozen.
The two people killed were both female, according to the New York City Police Department. In addition, at least 17 people are injured.
The New York City Fire Department said shortly after 9:45 a.m. it was responding to a reported explosion in East Harlem. Emergency responders are still working to find people at the scene, so it’s possible additional injuries will be reported.
