Why not put our considerable resources to good use to help someone else?

(118,501 posts)I lived in Nova Scotia a few years after the crash of Swiss Air 111 there and I know there were American officials living and working there years after the jet's crash into the ocean.

(118,501 posts)transportation minister (a politician) to speak to the press. Turns out, Vic Gerden, the investigator-in-charge (IIC) of the TSB investigation, provided superb management and dissemination of information on the crash. The politician was not needed. Gerden was masterful. And that helps in a situation such as this Malaysian crash.
