The numbers don't add up to 100% because 10% of the vote went to third party candidates, I would think.

6. Rasmussen is a republican partisan, his poles typically run 3-8 percent in favor of the republican

His pole had President Obama down by 7 percentage points the week before the 2012 election. I saw Burke speak on MSNBC last night, I was heavily impressed by her.

who talks like a Republican "She helped make Trek Bicycle an international success, led the Department of Commerce and founded an innovative public-private partnership to improve educational outcomes. As Governor, Burke will put her private sector experience into action to hold the line on taxes and spending, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent effectively. "

A rich girl who went to Harvard and got to work in her daddy's multi-million dollar company.

Yeah, everybody in the bottom 80% can relate to that.

And is that NOT a long list of Republican talking points?

* put her private sector experience into action
* hold the line on taxes
* and spending
* ensure taxpayer dollars are spent effectively.

Instead of being New Coke and trying to taste more like Pepsi, perhaps voters would respond better to "Classic Democrat".

Where rather than "holding the line on taxes" she would propose to "make the tax code more progressive" http://www.itep.org/pdf/wi.pdf

Rather than 9.6-10.7-10.7-10.6-9.7-8.3-6.9 perhaps taxes should be cut for the bottom 60% and raised for the top 20%?

Rather than "holding the line on spending" perhaps these Walker cuts should be undone * Reduced earned income tax credit (EITC)
* Eliminated indexing for homestead property tax credit.

Also, Governor races are kinda tough. The Odious Tommy Thompson was elected and re-elected in Wisconsin about 117 times.

Okay, maybe it only seemed that way. But he'd probably STILL be Governor if Bush hadn't tapped him to be HHS Secretary.
