My dogs would never stay on my bed, put them on and they would jump off. But I would get home from work and the tell tale dog hair would be on the bed. I think the dog likes to get the owner's scent on them. I nap on the couch and I see the dog lie there with her head on the pillow and on the blanket. But if I take the blanket and pillow off, she has no interest in the vinyl couch.

GD stands for General Discussion and this is a general discussion. lol

If someone always posts and visits GD then they want it to post where their friends are. It could be posted in Pets but hardly anyone goes there compared to GD.

My Jake not only sleeps on the bed all day, he gets under the blankets, re-arranges the pillows under the blankets to make a nest around him, and sleeps on *my* side of the bed

No WAY they would fit on the bed. They have doggie beds too. Our cat, Templeton (who looked just like the kitty in this video) slept on the bed - crossways between us. I got 1/4 of the bed, my husband got 1/4, and the 10 lb. cat got the middle half. I'd gladly give up that part of the bed again to have him back.

..."When the cat's away, the mice will play" saying. Thoroughly entertaining.

I would love to put a camera above our cats' food dish. We have one of those "mouse hole" feeders where the cats are supposed to reach in thru the little arches to retrieve the food pellets with their paws. The intent of this design is twofold, as I understand it - keep them from overeating and keep them from getting bored by having to "hunt" for their food.

One of our cats, who is smart enough to have taught himself how to dispense water by pulling down the lever on the Hinckley Schmitt water tank, will sit in front of this mouse hole dish and look up at me pitifully and helplessly until I go shake some food out for him. If I try to ignore him, he starts clawing the wooden frame of the door nearest to the dish. I know he knows what to do, because I've seen him do it. I'd love to know how often he visits the food dish when we are both away all day. I'm reasonably certain he does not wait until one of us is home to eat.

I think he just likes being waited on.

thinks she is special. My old cat isnt happy at all. She was queen of the roost for quite a few years. I cant feel too sorry for her because when she was young she pestered an older cat we had.

I just know my dog gets up on the one living room chair if I forget to put the plastic mat on it before I go to work because I can see the white, telltale dog hair. I rarely forget to put the mat on it, but as soon as I do, she's up there that day which makes me wonder, does she go around the house right after I leave to check to see if I've forgotten? I would love to put a camera in my house just to see what she does all day (besides sleep that is).

The look on the cat's face is priceless. It's as if the cat is saying, "You're a lunatic" to the dog.
