The two men had not asked to fly together,

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-26600361

Acting Transport Minister Mr Hishammuddin confirmed at the news conference.

"But if you switch anything off, an orange warning light appears on a screen in front of the crew. So it is highly unlikely one could do it without the other noticing."

Hijack for what purpose?
Killing all for what purpose? Mass suicide? Whats the point w/o a manifesto.
A 777 is bigger than a bread box on the ground and where would you hide the passengers.

Lots of questions and few answers, so far.

other than human intervention? I'm sure they would have mentioned this if so, but considering lack of motive the accident concept still seems viable

its a deliberate override of the systems.

In the article a BBC reporter interviews another 777 pilot.

What if one of the pilots had a psychotic break and suddenly voices in his head said to hit his fellow pilot over the head and do certain things?

What kind of justice or meaningful answer would you find in that? Would we ever know?

There'll probably be an answer. For many it won't be significant enough to provide the meaning they need, it won't fit the narrative they have about the world. Or it may fit the wrong narrative and be in need of revision. Islamofascist terrorists from Duluth. A secret spy mission by the NSA over Vietnam gone wrong. An Islamochristist plot to hasten the End Times.

Sort of makes the idea of a psychotic break seem completely rational, if you ask me.

It's very possible that we just never may know what happened.

People really are being faced with a Rorschach test of a type - they are reading into this incident whatever their own personal obsession might be. In reality what we know is very limited.

he immobilized the pilot (slipped something in his drink or whatever) then took control of the plane. Flew all over hell so no one knew where he headed, burned fuel, then buried the plane in the bottom of the ocean.

Mass murderer or victim? The only way he can't be viewed as a villain is to create a mystery.

Sounds like more people are saying victim. Not me.
