Every time some one on this board attacks President Obama I want to remind them, you could have McCain or Romney to deal with what we are facing. I don't agree with everything the President does but I am thankful he's the one making the decisions.

Geez... McCain scares me...

Both sides benefit from it, when it's called upon. Furthermore, the whole "McCain is a blood-thirsty warmonger" framing is comic book oversimplification. Still glad he's not President, but I'm not foolish enough to take his public persona as completely genuine.

Putin might have thought twice about challenging us.
So in a way the right could be right in a twisted kind of way.

You'd have to have a verifiable maniac at the helm though.

http://voices.yahoo.com/mccain-would-better-president-than-obama-clinton-1054771.html

What is not expected is the acknowledgment that Senator John McCain, a Republican rival and supposed ideological opposite, would be a better president than Senator Barack Obama, a fellow Democrat and supposed ideological equal (more or less). According to Fernando Suarez of CBS News in Forth Worth, Clinton told the reporters: "I think you'll be able to imagine many things Senator McCain will be able to say. He's never been the president, but he will put forth his lifetime of experience. I will put forth my lifetime of experience. Senator Obama will put forth a speech he made in 2002."

The speech she referred to is an anti-war speech Obama made in Chicago before assuming his duties as a U.S. Senator for the state of Illinois.

And still in Iraq. And no pullout from Afghanistan. And probably a couple other places.

Maybe he has some big defense contractors pushing him because they need a big new war to feed on.
