I think annexation of Crimea is a terrible thing. I do not favor USA arming Ukraine.

Wow! That was easy.

I looked into it, and it turns out that I am not required to be in lock-step with Putin, Svaboda, or even John McCain.

And I somehow find myself able to support the Obama administration's handling of the situation without applauding the 2003 American invasion of Iraq.

And it turns out that the Russian expansion into Crimea echos the 1930s German expansion into Austria in ways that would occur to any sensible person looking at the thing, but that in noticing that I am not making a prediction that Putin will invade France or institute a second holocaust.

Try it. It's fun. Turns out that all issues don't have to be uni-dimensional or hammered into some nonsensical American political frame.

I will keep everyone updated. With enough effort I may be able to think that Obama has never shown an optimal grasp of the economic situation while I somehow avoid wanting a President Palin.
