I finally got an answer out of a RWNJ I know re: Ukraine

He's been pissing and moaning for weeks about how "Obama's done nothing" to help the Ukranians. And of course, he wouldn't know Ukraine from ukelele, but that's neither here nor there.

I've been trying to pin him down. "What do you want us to do?" The answer was always some deflective bullshit about "I want Obama to act like a leader" or some such nonsense that doesn't commit him to any real action. Until today. He told me "Ok, I've really thought about this. We need to annex Cuba until Russia decides to give Crimea back."

being treated poorly and then use our base lease at Gitmo as a staging area before moving in. I doubt we'd actually have to set foot on Cuba proper, but it would be interesting to see Putin's response if we did exactly what he did in Crimea.

... personally I would have very much liked a EU ok to annexing Crimea for the territory of Kaliningrad, to be administered as an open city much like Danzig was between the two world wars (my family has roots there, more or less, and I dread the state that the city has been in for the last 20 years).
