Seriously? nearly two weeks into this story, CNN is still making this kind of mistake.
I am beyond disgust with our cable news channels (all of them, FOX, MSNBC, CNN). I think these last few years have shown what is wrong with the concept of a 24/7 news media.
People who have no particular competency on the issue think they have to speak about it whether there are news or not. Right now, I am listening to Mika B. confusing a trace on a satellite picture with the certainty they found something.
Can they just stop to talk (and besmirch people at the same time), without knowing)?

It's an addiction. They have no control over themselves.
It's like they are driving by a car wreck and just have to see the blood and broken bones and pain and suffering.
All we can do is turn it off.

(18,115 posts)3. I've not watched a tv in years, but the second hand
reports of CNN's indicate they've spent time on black holes and gods intervention, so they may have been too busy with that to learn any actual facts.

(27,315 posts)5. I dont watch CNN, but I have MSNBC on my computer screen
(or rather I had, because I turned it off). They are just as bad as CNN on topics like that.
