****WCGreen Update -- Friday March 21, 2014****

Some great strides have been made: Chris was breathing on his own with the trach collar, but no help from the respirator! And today, they did something that I call giving him the "talking stick" and he talked! I'm too bummed I missed it! He still has a long, long way to go, though.

I am in the process of becoming a special education substitute! Yeah!

He'll need some work to get back what he's lost through prolonged bedrest and before that with poor respiratory capacity. At least now he'll be able to do it without getting woozy from lack of oxygen.

And he was weak when he had the surgery...it's a long road ahead, but little by little, he is getting there.
