So I work in prescription benefits, and I just got a call from a pharmacy about a member's copay increasing, I look it up, and the computer says that Benefit Maximum has been exceeded, in other words, his plan isn't going to cover prescription drug costs at all for the rest of the year.
Are there any plans that are exempt from this requirement? If not, I'm assuming its an error his plan will correct as soon as possible.
Since the system I access is for processing, I wouldn't have such details available.
By the way, I was ecstatic about this part of the law about no more annual or lifetime benefit maximums because I really hate the angry phone calls, and frankly, if I could, I'd just give everyone their medications for free.
