and commute all federal death sentences to life without parole, now that he does not have to worry about being re-elected?
I mean, the speech practically writes itself. People being released from death row upon being found innocent; people currently facing death sentences despite serious reservations about their guilt; the difficulty of obtaining lethal drugs to inject into people to kill them (because of those holier-than-thou Europeans inexplicably not wanting their drugs used in executions); unregulated "compounding pharmacies" now being used to concoct lethal injections; the awful racial disparity in death sentences; and the fact that practically all of the rest of the civilized world dispensed with this medieval crap years ago.

After all, it is just a bunch of low life scum who are going to get what they deserve, right? And other nations, like Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and China execute people too.
