ACA Enrollment Tops 6 Million.

For some reason, I am having trouble posting what Paul Krugman said on his blog which Rachel included, but you can view it at link below; it's good:

More than 6 million people have signed up for health insurance on the new exchanges, a number that signals a tremendous last-minute surge, the White House said Thursday.

President Barack Obama told volunteers and navigators helping sign people up that 1.5 million people visited HealthCare.gov on Wednesday – the highest-traffic day yet. Officials have said they logged more than a million visits each day so far this week.

The enrollment totals must seem literally unbelievable to Republicans, who managed to convince one another that the ACA is not only catastrophically flawed, but on an inevitable road towards imploding.

I have been checking in on http://acasignups.net/ recently and they were expecting the 6 million mark to be hit on Saturday. Now they are also claiming that it may be hit today.

They have also increased the projected total signups by the end of the open enrollment from 6.2 to 6.4 to 6.5 in the last three days (in millions). Now they are even including a disclaimer because of the extension beyond 3/31.

I guess this all means that Obamacare is a total failure and an unmitigated disaster.

post Labor Day.

By then the fatigue of the "repeal it" ads will have taken full effect and the stories about how much good it is doing will start to take hold. The Kaiser Foundation already has "keep it" beating "repeal it" by nearly a 2-1 margin (59%-31%). I expect those numbers to continue to move in our favor.

I think (D)s are just waiting until people are paying attention to the election to start running on the ACA. I also think that any (D) who doesn't run on it is making a mistake.
