Ben Carson resistant to voters' campaign pleas
[font size=3]Noted former neurosurgeon will speak at Operation HOPE banquet in Lubbock on Saturday[/font]
Dr. Benjamin Carson has had a busy year since retiring June 30.
The former neurosurgeon’s day-to-day schedule is filled with public speeches and appearances throughout the country, but campaigning for president is not on the agenda, he said.
“That’s the things that people are doing on their own,” Carson said via phone Wednesday, March 26. “I have no desire personally to run for office.”
But despite his desire to avoid politics, thousands of people are encouraging his run for office through social media and online petitions.
