Last evening at 9:00 PM, CNN's Piers Morgan led an intelligent discussion about the new search area

Just into his show, Piers got word of the new Flight 370 search area based upon an updated working model that the plane flew at an altitude lower than previously thought, thereby using more fuel and falling into the ocean closer to Malaysia than previously thought. His show featured about six articulate experts, at least two of whom were pilots. They analyzed the breaking news and offered flight scenarios consistent therewith. I am not here to pump up CNN. However, at least in this instance, the breaking new coverage and analysis of new information impressed me.

In the other extreme, the 10:00 PM Fox News program began with Hannity talking about day-old news that satellite images spotted debris. I do not watch Fox News. It was an accident that the channel got momentarily switched to it.
