Christie did something he shouldn't have done (something really really bad)
There's a pile of evidence
It looks hopeless for Christie
Then a press conference announcing he's been exonerated
By a law firm who conducted an investigation
A law firm who received payment from the State of New Jersey
Christie is the State of New Jersey
...but because of the way this was all framed by the media, Christie will have succeeded in restoring his reputation as a good guy and it all may just fade away in time for 2016. Oh - and because people are stupid and don't remember what happened last week.
