"A man who shot over 100 BBs and pellets into his dog in Waldoboro will head back to jail after accepting a plea deal with four months additional incarceration....

...Armstrong was sentenced to four years incarceration with all but eight months in county jail suspended with credit for time served, followed by two years probation, and a lifetime ban on owning mammals. He received a separate but concurrent sentence of 30 days in jail for the charge of violation of condition of release....

...He will have to pay $373 in restitution for care of the dog, and will have to abide by a number of probation conditions: no use or possession of firearms, BB guns, or air guns and be subject to random searches; no use or possession of alcohol or illegal drugs and be subject to random searches and testing; and will have to abide by recommendations from mental health and substance abuse evaluations."
