Republicans Rage Against The Dying Of Their Favorite Obamacare Memes

DYLAN SCOTT – APRIL 1, 2014, 11:52 AM EDT

Obamacare's deadline day brought some shocking news: Despite all its problems, the law was on track to hit 7 million sign-ups, the original projection by the Congressional Budget Office prior to HealthCare.gov's disastrous launch last October.

It's only a symbolic victory for the White House -- Obamacare's long-term success wasn't contingent on 7 million sign-ups -- but after the troubled rollout that saw the law and the president's approval ratings sink to all-time lows, it's surely one that they'll take. A new analysis also credited the law with covering 9.5 million previously uninsured, a significant decrease in the law's first year. All in all, a good day for a law that hasn't had many.

But for Republicans, it signaled the end of some of their favorite Obamacare memes.

More People Have Lost Coverage Than Gained It

RAND Corp, a non-profit think tank, dealt the death blow Monday in a new analysis reported by the Los Angeles Times. The study concluded that less than 1 million people were now uninsured because their previous coverage had been canceled and they hadn't signed up for a new health plan. The Times estimated that about 9.5 million previously uninsured people had gotten covered.

He was apoplectic, and spluttering all over the microphone. Ha Ha. Incoherent with rage.

One of the preposterous lies Rush made up and broadcast today was that supporters of the Affordable Care Act have been "manufacturing" phony bad news since last October, so that today -- when the ACA met its goal -- they could smirk and vengefully stick it to him and all the other overpaid draft-dodging, pill-popping Republicon Propaganda Pimps & Operatives.

Bwaaaa ha ha ha ha. What a crock O' Whiney RepubliShit !!! You'd have to be a real half-assed sucker to swallow that obvious crap.

Rush has not only lost his audience of RepubliSuckers, he's lost his capacity to imagine entertaining lies.

GOP Senator Doubles Down: Yes, White House Is 'Cooking The Books' On Obamacare

CAITLIN MACNEAL – APRIL 1, 2014, 11:09 AM EDT

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) on Monday reiterated his claim that the Obama administration is "cooking the books" on Obamacare enrollment.

"We do," the senator said when Fox News' Greta Van Susteren asked if he stood by his comments. "We still don't know how many people have gone to the website to sign up actually paid so they actually have insurance, not just signed up on the website. That's number one."

Barrasso criticized the administration for not providing information on how many people who were previously uninsured signed up for a new plan.

"I don't know that we will ever get a full accounting," he told Van Susteren. "This is one of the least transparent administrations, if not the least transparent administration in the history of the United States."

the damned fools planned to run in 2014 on Obamacare. Now, their entire election strategy is blown up!

Too bad we couldn't save the enrollment period until October and let them look like REAL fools a month before the election.
