Here he is at last - the winner of record Milpitas lotto ($425 million Powerball)

The mystery winner of February's record-setting $425 million Powerball drawing finally emerged Tuesday with the lucky ticket, bought this winter at a South Bay gas station.

Ray Buxton, whose hometown and age were not released by lottery officials, claimed his prize at the Mega Millions office in Sacramento. Buxton is a middle-aged professional from the Bay Area who retired after the drawing, said Sam Singer of Singer Associates Public Affairs and Public Relations. He wants to retain as much anonymity as possible, Singer said.

Singer said his client intends to start a foundation to fight child hunger and promote pediatric health and education. On Tuesday, however, he left to vacation at an undisclosed spot.
