A majority of New Jersey residents believe Governor Christie has not been completely honest about what he knows about the George Washington Bridge lane closures despite an internal investigation absolving the Republican of any involvement in the incident last week, according to a new poll.
A Monmouth University/Asbury Park Press poll found that 61 percent of New Jerseyans polled believe Christie has not come clean, while 32 percent said the governor has been completely honest about what he knows. Even after the report was released, 47 percent said they believe Christie himself was involved in the lane closures, a decrease of only 3 points from a February survey.

(9,494 posts)those numbers will grow. As the State legislature's investigation unfolds they will be dropping stink bombs all over Chris Christie. Then the quieter but scarier Federal case will hopefully take down that lying bitch Kim Guadagno (she has been under investigation for years for pension fraud) and blow him right out of the Governorship for good.
This may take years but it's going to be torture for him. The best part is, that with the Feds and the press breathing down his neck, he won't be able to rob us blind anymore.

(9,494 posts)I wonder who they will name to replace him. Lt Gov Kim will be crushed under Christie when he falls and the State Legislature is led by Democrats so it will be interesting to see who they pick.

(2,419 posts)Mr. Mastro forgot to bring his case!
As of Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey was refusing to make public the interviews that, his lawyer asserts, vindicate the governor in the traffic-jam-as-punishment scheme run by his aides.
Well, why not just show the goods?
The lawyer, Randy Mastro of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, released a statement Tuesday, saying, The governors office is fully cooperating with the U.S. Attorneys Offices investigation, and in that regard, has not publicly released accounts of interviews conducted in connection with the Gibson Dunn investigation.
Note, carefully, the phrase in that regard.
This is a word blur, with a resemblance to actual English, though not its substance. It sounds as if Mr. Christie cant release the interviews done by his own lawyer, proving his innocence, because the federal prosecutors dont want him to.
Is that how we are supposed to take this statement? That the feds have hushed Mr. Christie?
When those questions were put to the governors office, his spokesman refused to answer. While the office of the United States attorney in Newark would not say if its investigators had requested the Christie team to withhold the interviews, there is no indication that they objected to the release of the report or any other documents or that they had the power to stop Mr. Christie from defending himself.

(2,419 posts)that Christie goes down. And it all happened very quietly in an interview room at the U.S. Attorney's office in Newark. Joe Maraziti was interviewed. He's going to confirm Dawn Zimmer's story. That will place Kim Guadagno in the position of having committed a Federal crime by using Sandy money for extortion. Who sent her to Hoboken with that message? Was she an hysterical and distraught woman as well? It was just the extortion time of the month?
No-Joe Maraziti is a credible person. He got the squeeze treatment from Wolff & Samson and the governor's office. He will confirm that Dawn Zimmer related the story of how the pressure was put on her. This fits with the way Wolff & Samson work. Christie and his crew went a step too far in trying to please Mr. Samson and crossed the line of criminal behavior. Today was the day the U.S. Attorney got the confirmation necessary to move forward. I think April 2 was the day the worm turned and events will accelerate from here.
