and he's been called out. Keep the focus on the Koch brothers Senator Reid - they can't take it in the long haul.

People who actually do work for a living or who are seeking to be gainfully employed in a job that requires real work.

I have a RW acquaintance who insists that he hates having the money taken from hard working Americans just to give handouts to those who don't work. I asked him to tell me about the people who don't work. Of course, you know who he named...women who keep having children just to get on the public dole, people on food stamps, people on housing assistance, you know the script. He's mad as hell that the Dems keep asking to raise taxes, estate taxes, corporate taxes etc.

I asked him if he thought that bankers, brokers, Koch bros, Adleson, etc should be classified as "workers."
I asked him if he knew for certain that people on food stamps and people receiving housing assistance were not also "workers" who needed a little help in today's economy? Then I asked him if he knew the difference between earned and unearned income and if he thought that people who merely inherited wealth but made more money from money they inherited should pay a lesser tax rate than people who actually left their homes every day, put in 30-40 hours per week doing manual labor should be taxed at higher rates or pay a larger percentage of their income in taxes than those who really never worked or never had to work, I mean really work? He just called me a fucking socialist, left his tab on the table and walked out. I don't know when I will see or talk to him again...and don't much care.

It used to be that almost everyone who wanted work, had work. Not so much these days. "Working American" may not be the best term anymore.
