Vermont Judiciary Committee votes 5-0 in favor of GMO labeling bill

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 5-0 if favor of a strong GMO labeling bill.

The five Judiciary Committee members worked tirelessly throughout the month of March to craft H.112 into an even stronger, more defensible bill. As currently written, the bill:

Requires labels on foods containing genetically engineered ingredients
Take effect starting July 1st, 2016
Prohibit falsely advertising GMO foods as “natural”
