Send email to the hotel chain headquarters. Nobody on DU can do any more than that.

If you're dissatisfied with the service at a hotel, complain to the hotel. If enough people do that, they'll change their policies.

Because if you want news, you obviously have a computer.

But to answer your question, while we would like to think the hotel management blocked it because of their deep involvement in the the vast right wing conspiracy, it is probably much more likely that the particular feed they are buying doesn't have it. Maybe they found not enough people watched it--or other pieces of that package--to make it worth paying for. Hotel chains, like the rest of us, get their cable content in packages.

Generally I treat hotel TV the same way as the bible in the nightstand...I don't look at it.

We were at a convention and the hotel only offered Fox and CNN. We complained to the front desk and then checked out and went next door. It was a nicer place and cheaper, too.

I stayed every few months at the same hotel and complained every time about not having MSNBC. Thankfully others must have done the same because it finally got it. Of course they could have just switched tiers or providers but I like to think that it was my complaints.

less than a month ago. In that case only CNN and 3 or 4 ESPN's. We made an emergency weather stop at a Days Inn, which we affectionately referred to as Casa Del Toenail.

FYI, I'm from Wisconsin and we do tend to have pockets of wingnuttery sort of like chancres on the state. Caution: You may be in a hot spot.
