Former CIA Director Michael Hayden: Feinstein too ‘emotional’ about CIA interrogation techniques

We are (were) ruled by the world's worst humans.

On "Fox News Sunday," Hayden cited comments Feinstein made last month in which she said she said declassifying the report "ensure that an un-American, brutal program of detention and interrogation will never again be considered or permitted."

Hayden suggested Feinstein's emotions are getting the better of her.

"That sentence -- that motivation for the report -- may show deep, emotional feeling on the part of the senator, but I don't think it leads you to an objective report," Hayden said.

What a f*cking neanderthal... although there are some DUers who agree with this strategy.

Note: I mean people who post on DU but are not actually progressives, liberals or even Democrats.

Dear Mr. Hayden: Please consider the salubrious sequelae of shutting up more. And breathe a prayer of deepest gratitude to whatever deity you worship that you're not in prison.

Limbaugh tossed it out automatically for years, now it is visibly being used around issues of reproductive freedom, employment, etc and to attack women in office.
sounds SO 1960-ish.

The release of any part of the report will not "ensure that an un-American, brutal program of detention and interrogation will never again be considered or permitted."

Words on paper (torture is illegal/federal law/international law/customary law/principles of Nuremberg) didn't stop it the first time - and words on paper won't stop it from happening again. So no one should pretend the release of (portions of) the report will ensure anything.

And how un-American can it be if America (the government) did it?

That's just an attempt to distance the national brand (U.S.A! U.S.A!) from what its government did - but the U.S. government did it - and they got away with (so is impunity for war criminals the American way then?).

If torture is un-American even though America committed torture - then what is granting immunity to war criminals? Is that also un-American even though that's exactly what happened?

Saying torture is un-America implies it is something we wouldn't do. We could also insert the cowardly phrase "brutal program of detention and interrogation" for torture, as in - brutal program of detention and interrogation is un-American - yet America did it.

If America does it then it's not exactly un-American is it?

If torture is not in keeping with our ideals and beliefs but we did it anyway - then is immunity for war criminals in keeping with our ideals and beliefs?

Let us see if we can get you to admit you like kiddie porn and have a secret stash at the Bush ranch.
If waterboarding doesn't work, you'll be fine, you have nothing to worry about.

We can't make you say something that isn't true simply because we want you to admit something...right?

That means KEEP PUSHING! There are now cracks in the wall. Hayden would be squealing like a PIG, if put under ANY of the various 'detention and interrogation' techniques used by the CIA...he would by CRYING LIKE A BABY FOR HIS RIGHTS within 5 nanoseconds!

FUCK HIM! Authoritarian scum just LOVES Foxnews...I wonder why?
